International Village

presented by Starkville Area Arts Council

International Village – "World Jam"

hosted by the World Neighbor Association
Picture
The International Village invites you to join them as they present an array of unique arts and activities from around the world. A vast variety of cultural demonstrations and displays from China, the Philippines, India, the USA, and other countries will entertain and inform, including dancing, performance art, and many hands on activities guaranteed to provide fun for the whole family.

There is also a local flavor to the International Village! The village is designed not just to celebrate international culture, but also to expose the cultural diversity surrounding Starkville as a community. A great number of participants are students and faculty members from other countries who work or study at Mississippi State University; their personal presence makes the International Village a wonderful educational experience for both adults and children to learn first-hand about different cultures from around the world. The International Village strives to bring a harmonic environment to the festival, with displays, fellowship, and entertainment from a variety of cultures.

2026 International Village

Saidi Gill will be serving Hot Tea wearing her beautiful national attire. People from around the world will be writing your name in four different languages. A geography trivia challenge will take place with prizes for the most knowledgeable contestants. At noon there will be a parade of international flags along with the beat of the percussion band led by Bonnie Renfroe and Robert Damm.

The 2026 International Village will be located on Adkerson Way!
