Crawlin' Caleb Childs, a native of Louisville, Mississippi, began playing blues while he was still in his teens. He was mentored during these years by the late, great blues man, Willie Earl King. He has played with numerous blues artists, bands, and along with fellow Willie King protégé Drew Blackwell, formed the Starkville based band, The Old Memphis Kings. He has since joined with harmonica player Rich Brown, a member of the former Breakbone Blues Band, and Brent Varner, an upright bass player who performs with The Tombigbees and other regional grassroots ensembles, to create Crawlin’ Caleb's Blues Revue. This Mississippi juke joint trio is dedicated to playing blues music in its own unique style while still remaining true to the blues masters who came before.
