Sugar High
Sugar High consists of Joe Evans on vocals and percussion and Drew Dieckmann on vocals and guitar. Joe is a Starkville native. He grew up singing in church joined his first band at 15 years old. He holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal music from Mississippi State University. Pulling influences from many different eras and styles, Joe loves playing and singing more than just about anything else, except cheese. Drew has been singing and playing guitar in the golden Triangle area for over 20 years with various bands in a wide range of genres. Born in Greenville and raised in Yazoo County, his Delta roots run deep. An early introduction to the blues music of that area grabbed him and set him on his path. Far from a one trick pony, his musical influences and passions are wide ranging and often unpredictable... sometimes to his own detriment. Drew holds very few degrees from anywhere.

Flathead Ford
Raucous guitar-based Mississippi blues that refuses to stay between the lines, Flathead Ford is made up of Starkville, MS all-stars Jerry Carnathan (guitar, vox) John Staggers (drums) and Lee Graham (bass).
The band was formed in Columbus, MS in 2005 as a somewhat rocking takeoff on Mississippi Hill-Country Blues. While those roots are still clearly evident, Flathead has developed a high-intensity show that wanders through blues as well as bluesy rock and even unique heavy electric jazz at times, showing off the ability of the bands experienced and accomplished members. A Starkville-area underground favorite, the group is never afraid to tackle any song or genre - it always comes out sounding like Flathead Ford. Hearing is believing. |
