Calling all songwriters!
This competition caters to the music side of CDAF! Singers and songwriters go head-to-head for a chance to perform live at #CDAF2023.
The Top 10 applicants will be selected to compete in the live performance Showcase at Dave's Dark Horse Tavern. Top 3 winners of the Showcase will be invited to perform at #CDAF2023 in a shared time slot on the West Stage! (Plus, in the past, various winners from this competition have been hired to play at SAAC's annual fundraiser Forks & Corks).

1st Place: Ben Stone 2nd Place: Andrew Brister 3rd Place: Micah Smith A huge thank you to our other Songwriters of the night, and our Judges: Bill Thurlow of Lazer 96.1FM, Hayden Delacroy AKA Trinity Devine, and Alan Aldridge of Porch Talk. A GIANT thank you to Dave's Dark Horse Tavern for hosting the Showcase again and to Georgia Love Graham for arranging this annual event! These Top 3 will be performing in a Reception at @Starkville Area Arts Council on September 8 from 5:30-7 pm, as well as the East Stage on September 23 at the Cotton District Arts Festival.
