For the last 25 years, I have been creating woven wire and gemstone jewelry, using copper and silver as my main metals. My techniques include wire wrapping and weaving (with techniques similar to basket-making). and inspired by my travels all over the world. I use natural beads and gemstones plus artisan glass in my jewelry, from all corners of the world. I have been a vendor at every CDAF since the very first one. I am particularly known for my wire rings and wire woven bracelets.

I use all kinds of material from leather, rosary beads and gunmetal chain to semiprecious stones to create my jewelry. I love making all jewelry but probably my favorite thing to do is solder semiprecious stones into pendants for my necklaces. My style is definitely a favorite among college girls.

Creating our jewelry involves developing innovative designs and turning them into original artisan jewelry. While our own unique styles are reflected in each piece, we use the same techniques (sawing, piercing, riveting, soldering, bezeling, casting, forging, enameling, etching, achieving patina with various methods) and regularly attend classes to learn new techniques. The jewelry is usually silver or copper with natural gemstones such as larimar, lapis, agate, kyonite, and others. The pendants are enhanced by leather, macrame or metal chains often with handmade clasps. We have enjoyed learning and growing together after meeting at a small festival 10 years ago.

A+K Saves the Day is a jewelry business where we make the jewelry pieces that people wish they could find in boutiques. Our business is a shared partnership between Kate Wittu and me, Addie Melchior. We are roommates who saw a need in our community for trendy and fair priced jewelry and jumped at the opportunity. We spend most nights coming up with ideas for new jewelry pieces and creating them to showcase on social media pages. We offer hand-made necklaces, earrings, and rings and have recently started making yarn wall hangings that we are hoping to showcase at the craft fair. We also do custom orders for any customers that have a vision in their head and want to see it made into a reality. We use materials from Amazon, Etsy, and Hobby Lobby to make our merchandise. Our merchandise is sold at very reasonable prices that our customers, so far, have really appreciated. Necklaces typically cost $12 depending on the type of chain and the number of charms added and earrings and rings have a set price at $10 for earrings and $25 for our rings. We can be reached through our Instagram page @ohhhoneybyak or on our Facebook page A+K Saves the Day.

RN Designs is owned and operated by myself, Reagan Newton. I am a college student at Mississippi State and my hometown is Saltillo, Mississippi. After making jewelry for several years for my friends and family, I finally started to sell my jewelry to the public in January of 2020! My work falls under the category of jewelry, but more specifically, I specialize in designing earrings. I order all of the pieces online and when the individual pieces are placed in front of me, that is when the creative magic starts to happen. Every pair of earrings is unique and handmade. Each pair is crafted to perfection and made with a heart full of love.

I make handmade jewelry from unique pieces. Some of my jewelry pieces incorporate Native American pottery beads found here in Oktibbeha county. A lot of my pieces are handcrafted from clay and every piece is uniquely made. I also create and design prints to sell. Lastly, I sell handmade bags from all recycled materials. For example I create and design tie bags that are made up of recycled materials all throughout the piece.

With my first skill being a visual artist (painter), I incorporate line design aesthetics into my creations. I hand-make each piece using 14k gold filled and 14k solid gold chains. Each piece is carefully designed with a specific look and lay in mind. Some pieces are encompassed with glass crystals while some use variations of textured chains. My newest work is my hand-painted earrings. They are made from brass, with shapes cut out and then sanded and primed. Earrings are then painted with enamel paint and after appropriate drying time, pieces are sealed and attached to a yellow gold hook.
