I create wooden sculptures from a single piece of native Mississippi woods. All sculptures are one of a kind and carved by my hands. No stains, paints, or glues are used. A clear finish shows off the beautiful flowing throughout each sculpture.

I create unique works of glass art by cutting glass into various designs and fusing them together in a kiln. I also melt several colors of glass through a screen to produce one of a kind pieces of art. All of the pieces are then placed in a mold to make bowls, platters, or plates that are completely functional and can be used to serve food or decorative art.

Heather Hepp

Little Sandy Glass is a glassblowing studio in Tuscaloosa built and operated by partners, Heather Hepp and Crichton Minges. They each work in different types of glassblowing independently, but often collaborate. Crichton works at a torch. Currently, he is focused on detailed color-work resulting in elaborate patterns that he forms into large marbles, pendants, and sculptures. Heather works from a glassblowing furnace. Her work is often of cheerful, transparent colors with simple patterns that reflect in sunlight. Heather's work includes bottles, vases, bowls, kinetic mobiles, ornaments, and sculpture. The work of this couple continues to expand as they clearly love what they do.
